There may be times you want to keep a sale in FrontRunner for record keeping purposes but don't want the sale to count towards your total agency production or bonuses/commissions.
For example, a Life app is submitted but the customer opted to not complete the process or the app was declined. You still want the see the app was submitted but you don't want the app to count towards qualifications for bonuses.
In FrontRunner, you can do that! When you set a sale as "not taken" it's almost as if the sale does not exist. It will also withdraw that policy from qualifying for a bonus/tier level. The sale remains in the system but doesn't go toward any bonus earning or app count for the team member or agency as a whole.
HOW TO:
To update a sale as "not taken", locate the sale on the Sales tab, scroll to the right to reveal the orange icons, and select the icon that looks like three horizontal lines. Note: If you hover your mouse over these lines, it will say "Set Sale Not Taken":
If you don't see the "Set Sale Not Taken" option, that likely means the sale has already been updated as "Issued". You would need to edit the sale first to delete the issue date and issued premium, and then set the sale as "not taken".
IMPORTANT: If commission has already been paid out for a sale in FrontRunner, you'll want to instead consider updating the sale as a chargeback instead of not taken. Please review How to Manage Chargebacks
