How to Clock In and Out
FrontRunner can track your hours worked using the Clock-In/Out feature. This article explains how to clock in and out for your shifts and lunch breaks, as well as what to do if you forget a time punch.
Where to Find the Clock-In/Out Button
The Clock-In/Out button is located in two places:
- On your Dashboard
- On the Time Clock & PTO tab
It appears as a green icon like this:
How to Clock In
When you are ready to start your shift, click the green Clock-In icon.
To confirm your time punch was accepted, refresh your browser. Once you are clocked in, the icon will turn blue and look like this:
Use this same button to clock out at the end of your shift or when taking/returning from lunch.
What If I Forget to Clock In or Clock Out?
If you forget to log a time punch, don’t worry! You can fix it.
Option 1: Edit an Existing Time Punch
- First, complete the missing clock-in or clock-out in FrontRunner.
- Go to the Time Clock & PTO tab.
- Under Manage Clock-Ins, find the entry you want to update.
- Click the orange Edit icon on the right.
-
A pop-up titled Edit Clock-In will appear.
For example, if you started work at 1:00 PM but forgot to clock in until 1:28 PM, clock in first, then edit the time punch to 1:00 PM and click Save.
You can either:
• Select a time from the dropdown, or
• Delete the existing time and type in the correct time manually
Option 2: Manually Add a Clock-In Entry
You can also manually create a time entry if you already know both your start and end times.
- Go to the Time Clock & PTO tab.
-
Under Manage Clock-Ins, click the green New Clock-In button.
- A pop-up titled New Clock-In will appear. Enter the:
- Date
- Time In
- Time Out
- Click Save
⚠️ Important ⚠️
Any time punches that are edited or manually entered require Agent or Admin approval before those hours are included in your total time worked.
